The other day a student of mine, who is working to increase grip strength in his feet for better walking, commented that his toes will never curl under. NEVER. Well, since he isn't quite dead yet and since his toes are actually moving more independently than before despite the fact they seem to barely move means that he IS changing his health for the better and, thankfully, not dead.
