Thanks to Matteo Vistocco for sharing their work on Unsplash.
It's September which means the end of vacation season, back to school, and work, work, work until Thanksgiving. Are you feeling the stress?
Burned out already?

I can tell you that I most certainly am struggling to juggle the new schedule and not really winning much.

The kids have school now and that brings a whole new dynamic to my work life and while we are all experiencing a new way of doing school it still takes a “getting the kinks out” phase before life runs smoothly.
Remember the Healthy You Master Plan?

Yeah, I intended to roll that out back in May, here it is September and not complete. Here I am now with an increased work load, less time to write and trying to ensure you get as much information to be successful as possible. What does this equate to? STRESS.

We all feel it.

We all endure to some degree.
It is part of life.
But how you react to the stress makes or breaks you.
Chronic stress runs the body down, decreases the immune system response, causes inflammation, and wreaks havoc. Having stress in the short term (fight or flight) is good and challenges your body to function efficiently, but we weren't meant to be in this state for very long. Yet, here is our society constantly rushing about like a pin ball machine from one thing to the next without a moments rest.

How can you cut back on the stress in your life?
Well, I suggest you start by making a list.
List all the things you do: work, chores, exercise, commitments…
List all the things you would like to do: visit friends, go out, hike…Now, organize those into things that must be done daily, things done weekly, monthly, yearly.

Going through these tasks and organizing them will force you to prioritize what is most important and what doesn't need to be done at the same time hopefully help you delegate some duties ;)

Let me know how it works for you!

Oh, and I PROMISE I am scheduling in time to write because the information in the
Healthy You Master Plan is too good to not share. If you can't wait you can get started with personal training and nutrition consultation, simply send me a message and let's meet up!
