Everyone at Structural Body Systems makes us so proud! We want to take a moment to feature Rick & Lynn White who have dedicated six days a week to spend with us and we couldn't be more excited about the progress they have made in the four months they have been working with us! Here is what Rick & Lynn had to say:
SBS: What brought you to Structural Body Systems?
Rick: What brought me was a desire to be stronger and more fit. I needed a structured program where I would receive feed back on my effort, technique, and form.
Lynn: I was open to the idea of finding a fitness place that was different than any other. The sound of kettlebell weight training really intrigued me.
SBS: What was a fear you had starting the program?
Rick: I really had no apprehension starting this program. I couldn't wait to dive in 6 days a week and give it my all. I really enjoyed the challenge of the workouts from day one.
Lynn: I had no fears whatsoever.
SBS: What was your goal coming to Structural Body Systems?
Rick: Like I stated earlier I wanted to be strong & fit. I knew I would drop a few pounds & look better in my clothes as I set out to attain my goals.
Lynn: Right from the start I could see my goal was & is to learn all the techniques properly, keep excelling, moving up in weights & challenging myself which ultimately I could see transforming my body, eating better, getting in better shape & looking more toned. It all began with my conscious decision to improve my overall health & well being.
SBS: What changes did you notice & what was the timeline?
Rick: I noticed a leaner, stronger appearance within a month of starting with Structural Body Systems. My clothes fit looser & eventually dropped a size or two in both my upper & lower body.
Lynn: Through our work, our commitment, and our love of this program I was really excited to see changes in my muscle toning, losing weight, and increased stamina/endurance in less than 2 months. From the very start, Rick and I both committed to going six times a week and discovered this is the ultimate transforming workout that burns calories and makes us fit!
SBS: How much weight did you lose and what was the timeline?
Rick: I have gone from 221 lbs to 208 lbs in three months. I don't believe this tells the whole story. I know I have added a great deal of muscle as well. I have bigger shoulders, bigger chest, and my arms and midsection are much more defined as well.
Lynn: Now after nearly four months working out here, I have lost 19-20 lbs but what amazes me is the tone transformation of building muscle and losing fat. I am in better shape NOW than from 20 years ago! I actually get compliments from people out of the blue. I have also dropped 1-2 sizes in clothing.
SBS: What change have you seen that surprised you the most?
Rick: My flexibility in my hips, hamstrings, and lower body was very limited starting this program. Though I still have a long way to go to be considered "flexible" I recently did "froggers" in the mobility section of our workout and was pleasantly surprised how low I got my back end to the floor. It was awesome to accomplish this!
Lynn: What changes surprised me the most is the I actually found a workout I absolutely love to do, which is great for my health! It's also fun we can both go together and excel at our own pace. I was totally bored with treadmills, gyms, dieting and never found anything that could make this amount of impact on me.
SBS: What is your favorite thing about Structural Body Systems?
Rick: My favorite thing is quite simply the workouts. They are always varied and challenging. Every workout hits every facet of physicallity; strength, mobility, flexibility, coordination, and endurance.
Lynn: My favorite thing is that it has changed my life. I feel better, am stronger, look better and continue to defy age! We have two great trainers, Greg & Kerry who we admire. The thorough workouts everyday are different and continue to improve our endurance and strength. I love the advanced skills we are involved with and look forward to competing in the Tactical Strength Challenge in October. This program is built on a customized workout plan to fit individual needs.
SBS: What was your state/condition when you first attended?
Rick: I was in pretty good shape when starting out, but it doesn't hold a candle to where I have come to in the last four months. The workouts we accomplish everyday would blow away the average guy who spends a half hour a day on the treadmill and thinks he is in shape.
Lynn: My condition when I started was active, walked a lot, some bike riding but about 30+lbs overweight with something missing. I wanted to find that ultimate workout that gave me the whole package of health, get more fit, and lose weight. I also used to play competitive Racquetball, but several years back.
SBS: What suggestions/advice would you give to those interested in attending Structural Body Systems?
Rick: I would suggest you be open minded and give these workouts a chance. Swinging a kettlebell and walking like an ostrich is a little unorthadox to the average guy and gal. Give the workouts a month and take a look at how much better you look and feel.
Lynn: My suggestion/advice is to give it a try, be open, you just have to start. You WILL see changes, given the commitment to the program. We have also seen good effects on other people in the class and exciting to see the class growing!
SBS: Is there anything else you would like to say?
Rick: When I first tried Structural Body Systems I knew I had found something good. After working with the program for almost 4 months I would never do anything else. Like I said earlier I believe this to be the most complete workout system bar-none!! I must also state that we are all luck here at SBS to have Greg & Kerry as the owners and trainers. They care more about us than they do themselves. I owe them a great deal of gratitude and my upmost respect. Also strength dow not equal power. Power= Strength + Flexibility + Coordination + Mobility + Endurance. Structural Body Systems trains you to be POWERFUL!
Lynn: I want to commend our trainers, Greg & Kerry, who live the life of fitness, do the workouts, and prepare/strategize each daily workout to work each muscle and give us the conditioning we need. They know how kettlebell and mobility has to be taught while offering a total comprehensive workout so we can all accomplish our goals.
